So there has been quite a bit that’s happened in the past three which I’ve got to say have probably been some of the best weeks of my life. (Sorry for the late post)
Week 1:
It was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people with this much passion for the Lord and enthusiasm to spread the word. I honestly couldn’t believe that I was here and can’t wait to see what all these people do. It was definitely the longest week or at least felt like it. We would have about two sessions a day with a variety of different speaker which I loved. They were unique and their teaching and definitely gave me a new perspective on many things. The days also consisted of squad sessions and team time which is pretty much when we’d go over what we had learnt in the previous sessions and just getting to know the squad. Other than that we just had meals and fee time, which was perfect when it came for squad wars. Squad wars was so much fun. It happened on the Friday of the first week and all the squads met up in one spot for friendly competitions such as dodgeball, some ballon popping game, and a performance from each squad at the end (which we killed). Every Friday night we’ve done this thing called revival night. It’s one big long worship night after dinner and it’s incredible. It’s something I look forward to every week. I didn’t think it was possible but Saturday was even better. It was our baptism night. I don’t think I’ve felt the Lord’s presence that strongly ever in my life. I think almost the whole squad was baptized that night including myself and I’m so glad that I did. I am ready to start this new chapter in my life and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for me.
Week 3 (I know I skipped week 2, I’ll get to that later):
This week we had many sessions on spiritual warfare. They were very interesting and it’s something I’ve never really looked into or even thought about before. It allowed me to take a closer look on how sin affects ourselves as well as those around us. I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t able to take very good about these sessions and I felt pretty exhausted the whole but I been able to look over my teammates notes so thank you for that. Now this brings me to mount Yonah. This week we got the privilege of hiking up and camping at mount yonah. I was honestly dreading this originally but I am so glad we did this. We had to bring our big packs and the hike up was kinda brutal and it was totally worth it. We got up there and I swear it’s the best view I’ve ever seen. I can’t even put it into words. We stayed there that night so we were able to watch the sunset, start a fire and roast marshmallows and hotdogs, and just stargaze on the mountain. I would absolutely do it again if given the option.

Just being here and with this people has made incredible and really help me me walk in my faith with Christ. I’ve been able to get into a habit of reading my bible every day (which I’ve always struggled). I’ve been to discuss what I’ve read with my peers and grow in knowledge that I wasn’t aware of as well as voices my opinion without ridicule. This was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made and I can’t wait to tell y’all more about it.

  1. It’s great to hear what God is already doing in your life. Keep seeking Him and He will continue to be faithful.
